Guest Policies

CHECK-IN:  Anytime after 2:00 PM.  Early check in available upon request and subject to availability.   
CHECK-OUT:  11:00 AM.  Late check-out may be possible; advance request required, subject to availability

We are a small boutique hotel and do not have a concierge. Emergency contact number is posted in the room.

BOOKINGS

• Rates shown are per room, per night and are subject to all applicable taxes.
• Prices are subject to change without notice; however, your price is guaranteed once you receive a booking confirmation.
• Master Card and Visa accepted.  Business clients can be invoiced OAC.  Please make prior arrangements.
• Any physical damage to Guest Room property beyond reasonable normal wear and tear, or disruptive behavior, will result in non-refundable termination of your stay.  The Guest Room will charge your account for any damage costs.
• The Guest Room will not use the Reservation Data for any purpose other than fulfilling your reservation and will need your specific consent to use it for any other purpose. The Guest Room will only store the Reservation Data for as long as is necessary to fulfil your reservation.

CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES
• Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to check-in will receive a full refund less a small administration fee.

GUESTS AND MINORS
 The capacity of each Suite is six guests.
• Pricing includes two guests and their children 12 and under.
• Additional guests, 12 or older, are $10/night.
• The Guest Room is family-friendly.  We offer a playpen, and air and foam mattresses, that can be used for small children.  There is no additional fee.

PETS
You must confirm directly by telephone with The Guest Room staff concerning the acceptability of pets. Pet policies may require a damage/cleaning deposit at the time of check-in, which may be non-refundable.

COMMUNAL AREAS
The back deck, BBQ grill and back parking spaces are shared areas. Please be considerate of others regarding noise levels, garbage, others waiting to use them.

PARTIES AND EVENTS
• Please respect the neighbourhood, keep sound to a minimum between 11 PM and 8 AM.

ICE/WATER
The Town of Souris municipal water system is a reverse osmosis process that provides our community with excellent water on tap.  Provincial standards are maintained at all times.

TV CHANNELS
Westman Cable TV is provided free of charge.

LOST & FOUND
We hold all forgotten items for 30 days.

SMOKING
The entire building is smoke-free.  There is a butt container provided on the outside deck at the back of the building, and please use this for the disposal of butts.  Be safe and make sure all butts are extinguished before leaving unattended.

PARKING
Free of Charge.  You may park your vehicles at the back, where there are two spaces available for both up and down suites to share.  There are plug-ins on the building at the back. You will need an extension cord.  Overflow parking is located across the back lane signage indicates Guest Room.  Additional parallel parking is available along the south side of Crescent Ave. (front).  Overnight parking is permitted on the front only in the summer or when no snow is expected.

WE CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY
Your comfort and well-being are our first priority.  We urge you to take advantage of these safety and security tips.
• Please be certain that all interior doors are locked.  Use the safety chains; however, we would appreciate it if you un-hook the chains when checking out.
• When leaving your car, make sure it is locked.  Do not leave valuables in your vehicle.  The front and back doors to the building/lobby are never locked; therefore, it is important to ensure that your suite doors, both front and back, are locked.

BE PREPARED
Locate the fire exit nearest you, front and back. Locate the fire extinguishers. There are smoke detectors on each floor. Emergency lights will light up the stairs.

TO PREVENT FIRES
There is absolutely NO SMOKING in the building.  A sand can is located on the outside deck at the rear.  Be sure that all butts are extinguished before leaving it.  Be sure to turn off all cooking appliances, curling irons, coffee makers and other heating devices when leaving.  No candles or open flame.
