About The Guest Room

The Guest Room is a cozy boutique hotel located right in the center of the community of Souris, home to 1,683 friendly people.  It overlooks the picturesque Victoria Park and keeps a watchful eye on the main streets – 1st Street South and The Crescent.  It is within a short walking distance to many stores and services, including restaurants, hardware, pharmacist, groceries, bakery, fitness, clothing and medical services. 

Souris, Manitoba, is located on highway #2, 30 minutes southwest of Brandon, 3 hours from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The century-old building is constructed from locally produced sandy brick, adding a warm ambience and historic character to our hotel rooms.  The Guest Room started its life as a fine jewelry store in the early 1900s, spent some time as a local grocery store, back to a jewelry store and now a small hotel and great place to stay.

In 2003 the building was completely renovated and restored to create two fabulous hotel suites with modern appeal and historical flavour. Along with an outdoor deck space to enjoy the fresh rural Manitoba air, The Guest Room serves as a great little home away from home for travellers and their guests to enjoy.
